Fitness Librarians Pump Up The Sacramento Book Scene

Libraries have always relied on the skills and talents of their employees, said Sacramento Public Library Director Rivkah K. Sass in a written statement. Were just doing it in ways wed never thought of before. The fitness programs help fill in the gap in library attendance by twenty-somethings, a demographic that Zaker said is rarely seen in libraries. When theyre kids they come for story time, when theyre teens they come to study, she said. When they have their own kids they come back for story time and when theyre seniors they spend time in the library. People in their 20s and 30s use the library, she added, but they dont spend time there. Cardholders ages 20-29 grew 10.3 percent between January 2013 and January 2014. They comprise 18.7 percent of the systems 642,837 current homepage cardholders.

Gary Kubiak Unlikely For Browns

Carroll_Pete 140116 [203x114] Ebenhack Gary Kubiak was fired as Texans coach in early December. He was 61-64 in nearly eight seasons. After ending a lengthy search for a head coach by hiring Mike Pettine from the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, the Browns are in the process of assembling a staff under the former defensive coordinator. Kubiak, 52, was fired as coach of the Houston Texans in early December in the midst of his eighth season. He posted a 61-64 record with the team. He has an offensive background as a coach, serving as offensive coordinator with the Denver Broncos for 11 seasons. He also was quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers in 1994, helping Hall of Famer and current ESPN analyst Steve Young to one of his best seasons, and served as John Elway 's backup during much of his nine seasons as a player with the Broncos.
